This results in a fleshier, lower acid wine with slightly higher residual sugars from the use of naturally riper components. The fruit was harvested principally from two Gisborne subregions - Ormond and Central Valley. Combined with the warm dry summer conditions, they produced a riper wine with a profile of pear and stone fruit.
